Delycost: A Bold Handwritten Font for Creative Projects

Delycost on Candle Labels and Handmade Packaging

When I first tested Delycost, a Script Handwritten Font, I was designing labels for my small candle line. The moment I applied it to the glass jars, something clicked. Delycost has that authentic, bold feel that feels like it was written with a real pen—every stroke has personality. It didn’t just sit on the label; it lived there. I used it for names like “Evening Glow” and “Cozy Breeze,” and the result felt warm and inviting, exactly what I wanted for my brand.

I also tried it on product packaging mockups, layering it with minimalist sans serif fonts for balance. The contrast made everything look more professional while keeping the handmade charm intact. It’s perfect for boutique-style shops or Etsy listings where presentation matters as much as the product itself.

Delycost in Greeting Cards and Wedding Invitations

Next, I moved to greeting cards. I had a set of birthday cards in the works, and I needed a font that would stand out without overwhelming the design. Delycost fit perfectly. It worked especially well for short phrases and titles, adding a touch of elegance and uniqueness. I even used it on a few wedding invitation mockups, pairing it with a clean serif font for the details. The invitations felt personal and elegant, which is exactly what couples want when they’re planning their big day.

The boldness of Delycost helped make the text pop, but it wasn’t too over-the-top. It balanced well with subtle backgrounds and illustrations. I found it particularly useful for decorative wording, like “You Are Invited” or “Join Us,” where a handwritten feel adds emotional appeal and connection.

Delycost for Digital Printables and Merchandise

As someone who creates digital printables, I needed a font that would work across various formats—from PDFs to SVGs. Delycost performed exceptionally well in this area. I used it for planner pages, printable wall art, and seasonal tags. Its bold, unique style made each design feel special, whether it was a holiday tag or a motivational quote poster.

I also experimented with using Delycost on merchandise like mugs and tote bags. The font’s readability was impressive, even on smaller surfaces. It didn’t get lost in the design, and the handmade aesthetic translated well to physical products. I recommend pairing it with a simple sans serif font for body text to ensure legibility, especially for longer phrases or descriptions.

One thing to note is that Delycost isn’t ideal for very tiny cuts or dense blocks of text. It shines best on display use—names, titles, and short messages. If you're working on product labels with a lot of information, consider using a simpler font for the details and saving Delycost for the main title or branding elements.

Delycost in Branding and Shop Listings

For my shop listing images, I wanted something that would grab attention but still feel authentic. Delycost became my go-to for headlines and callouts. It added a sense of quality and care to the visuals, making the products feel more handcrafted and less mass-produced. I noticed that customers seemed to engage more with designs that featured Delycost—perhaps because of its unique, handwritten feel.

When building brand identity, consistency is key. I paired Delycost with a clean sans serif font for all my website headers and social media posts. This combination gave my brand a modern yet personal touch. I also checked the font’s file formats and licensing before selling any templates or printables, ensuring I had commercial rights for all my uses.

Delycost comes with several styles and alternates, giving me flexibility in how I used it. The swashes and ligatures were a nice touch, especially for creating custom logos or unique lettering effects. Whether I was designing for myself or clients, Delycost consistently delivered a standout result that elevated every project.
